Frequently asked questions
How many days do I need in Dubai?
To see the city at a comfortable pace, allow 4 to 5 days. With Abu Dhabi, 6 to 7. Less than that works well as an extended 2 to 3-day stopover on the way to Asia or Europe.
Is Dubai expensive?
It depends on your choices. High-end accommodation and restaurants cost much the same as in New York or London. Transport, attractions and everyday dining are accessible. We show you where it is worth spending and where it is not.
When is the best time to visit?
From November to March, with temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees. July and August exceed 40 degrees, but hotels are less expensive and everything is air-conditioned.
Do I need a visa?
Visa requirements depend on your passport and circumstances. Please check the current rules with the relevant UAE consulate before you travel, as they may change.
Is Dubai safe?
It is one of the safest cities in the world. There are public behaviour rules that need to be respected, and our team explains everything before your trip.
Can I drink alcohol?
Yes, in hotels, licensed restaurants, bars and clubs. Not in public spaces.
How should I dress in Dubai?
In shopping centres and public places, clothing that covers the shoulders and knees is recommended. Standard swimwear is suitable at beaches, pools and hotels. Full coverage is required in mosques.
How does money work?
The currency is the dirham (AED). International cards work almost everywhere. Currency exchange in the city is usually better than in Brazil.
Can I do Abu Dhabi in a day?
You can, and we recommend it. Sheikh Zayed Mosque, Louvre Abu Dhabi and Yas Island in one day with a private driver. The journey takes around 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Why work with a local DMC in Dubai?
If you want to make the most of your time, avoid pitfalls and have someone available for any unforeseen circumstance, it is worthwhile. If you prefer to plan and arrange everything yourself, we can still help with whatever you need.
